Tigers' Jason Foley: Shaky but records save
Rotowire
Foley allowed two runs on four hits but managed to secure the save in Friday's 5-4 win over the Reds.
Foley started the ninth inning with a 5-2 lead but was generally ineffective as he allowed Cincinnati back into the game before eventually escaping. Despite the blip, the righty has been mostly solid this year, compiling a 3.26 ERA across 30.1 innings and recording 14 saves in 16 chances. Foley isn't the most exciting option, but as long as he remains the closer in Detroit, he'll maintain fantasy value.

Tigers' Reese Olson: Earns win Friday
Rotowire
Olson (3-8) allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits over 5.2 innings to earn the win Friday against the Reds. He walked two and struck out eighth.
While Reese's record isn't great, he's actually pitched quite well this season with a 3.22 ERA. The righty has been even better lately, posting a 1.88 ERA with 28 strikeouts across 24 innings in his last four starts. Reese was solid as a rookie last year as well, posting a 3.99 ERA over 21 games (18 starts), so it looks like he firmly belongs at this level. He'll look to keep up his strong recent play in his next scheduled start, which is penciled in for Wednesday against the Guardians.

Tigers' Riley Greene: Reaches four times, goes deep
Rotowire
Greene went 3-for-4 with a walk, a double and a solo home run in Friday's 5-4 win over the Reds.
Greene has been hot lately, as he's riding a four game hitting streak, during which he's gone 8-for-16 with two home runs. He's up to 17 long balls this season, which is already a new career high. The 23-year-old Greene appears to be having his break out, so fantasy managers should enjoy the ride as long as the young outfielder stays healthy.

Tigers' Colt Keith: Goes deep twice Friday
Rotowire
Keith went 2-for-5 with two home runs and three total RBI in Friday's 5-4 win over the Reds.
Keith hit a solo blast in the third inning, then followed that up with a two-run shot in the fifth. The 22-year-old now has seven home runs this season, with four of them coming in the last 10 games. During that stretch, he's batting .286 with a .945 OPS. Keith seems to be delivering on his prospect potential after a slow start to the year, and he could be a difference maker in fantasy leagues the rest of the way if he keeps this up.

Tigers' Parker Meadows: Returns with home run
Rotowire
Meadows went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 5-4 win over the Reds.
Making his first MLB appearance since May 6, Meadows promptly blasted his third home run of the season. The 24-year-old scuffled in his first stint with the Tigers this year, batting just .096 across 32 games before getting demoted. The team is hoping his time in the minors corrected some issues, and Meadows should get plenty of opportunities in center field moving forward, particularly due to his strong defense. If he can get his bat going as well, Meadows may be able to develop some fantasy value down the stretch.

Tigers' Mark Canha: Idle Friday
Rotowire
Canha is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Reds.
Canha has three hits in his last 39 at-bats and will be absent from the starting nine for the second time in three games. Gio Urshela will play first base while Matt Vierling fills the hot corner.

Tigers' Zach McKinstry: Not in Friday's lineup
Rotowire
McKinstry isn't in the Tigers' lineup Friday versus the Reds.
McKinstry has gone 0-for-14 over his last five games, so he'll get a chance to regroup Friday while Ryan Kreidler starts at shortstop and bats ninth.

Tigers' Jake Rogers: Idle Friday
Rotowire
Rogers isn't in the Tigers' lineup for Friday's game against the Reds.
Rogers went 1-for-3 and drove in two runs during Detroit's loss to Minnesota on Thursday. He'll now get a breather during Friday's series opener while Carson Kelly starts at catcher, batting fourth.

Tigers' Parker Meadows: Back in big leagues
Rotowire
The Tigers recalled Meadows from Triple-A Toledo on Friday.
Meadows was the Tigers' Opening Day center fielder but was sent down in early May after going just 7-for-73 at the plate. He got on track at Toledo to earn another chance, producing a .298/.394/.511 batting line with eight home runs and 19 stolen bases. Meadows also struck out at just a 19 percent rate with Toledo after he had fanned at a 37.7 percent clip earlier this year with the Tigers. He should operate as Detroit's regular center fielder at least against right-handed pitching.

Tigers' Akil Baddoo: Optioned to Triple-A
Rotowire
The Tigers optioned Baddoo to Triple-A Toledo on Friday.
Baddoo has played sparingly lately and produced just a .582 OPS with the big club this season. He's clearing out to make room on the roster for Parker Meadows.

Tigers' Parker Meadows: Set to be recalled
Rotowire
The Tigers will recall Meadows from Triple-A Toledo prior to Friday's game against the Reds, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Meadows was sent down by the Tigers in early May after putting up a lowly .443 OPS with a 37.7 percent strikeout rate over 32 games. However, he got back on track at Toledo, slashing .298/.394/.511 with eight home runs, 19 stolen bases and just a 19 percent strikeout rate in 47 contests. Meadows will get regular reps at least against right-handed pitching, and while there's no guarantee he'll be better this time around in the majors, his power/speed combo makes him worthy of being added in most fantasy formats.

Tigers' Colt Keith: Goes deep in blowout loss
Rotowire
Keith went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's 12-3 loss to the Twins, which was called after seven innings due to rain.
Keith was a bright spot for the Tigers on an ugly afternoon in Minneapolis. The young second baseman now has consecutive multi-hit efforts, and he's tripled and gone deep during the stretch. Overall, Keith has been so-so this year with a .236 average and .620 OPS, though he's been better from May onward after a rough first month in the majors. There's still potential for a big finish from the 22-year-old rookie.

Tigers' Kenta Maeda: Suffers ugly loss Thursday
Rotowire
Maeda (2-5) allowed nine runs on nine hits across 3.2 innings to take the loss Thursday against the Twins. He walked three and struck out three.
It was another ugly performance for Maeda, who saw his season ERA climb to 6.71. Outside of a clean first inning, the veteran allowed multiple runs to score in each of his other frames. Maeda had a decent 2023 campaign for these same Twins, posting a 4.23 ERA and 1.17 WHIP across 104.1 innings, but he hasn't carried that over into his first season in Detroit. The righty lines up to start again Tuesday against the Guardians, though at this point he can't be trusted by fantasy managers.

Tigers' Justyn-Henry Malloy: Sitting out Thursday

Tigers' Justyn-Henry Malloy: Swipes bag in big win
Rotowire
Malloy went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Wednesday's 9-2 win over the Twins.
Malloy singled in the third for his only hit of the game and swiped second base for the first steal of his MLB career. Malloy does have a hit in four straight games now, but overall, it's been a struggle for the 24-year-old to get acclimated to big-league pitching so far. He's slashing .197/.284/.394 with four homers, eight RBI, eight runs and a 7:31 BB:K in 81 plate appearances.
